Desert Bloom February 2019
There's more than blue in the desert! About three miles past the Ranger Station on the West side of the park we started seeing this beautiful ground cover. Found a place to park and took a few photos. This one is my favorite!

Lost Maples State Park
Fall Foliage taken with the Nikon 28-300 Zoom on my D800. This lens, in the field, is a great match for the D800. Megapixel performance of the lens, listed on DXO, isnt that great, around 19mp, but the sensor in the D800 matches very well with the lens in actual use.
Prong Horn
Toward the end of the 160 loop, and back in WY, we saw several Prong Horns a few yards off the road. As soon as we stopped the noise of our truck caused this curious guy to look right at me. Click, click, click.......
Sheeps Creek Geologic Area
Toward the end of the fifteen mile loop we happened upon these fellas. They were headed into the rough, so I quickly zoomed out to 300mm and grabbed a few frames before they wandered into the brush.

Zebras
Colorado is a great state for wild flower viewing in the spring. These "Tahokah Daisies" were found just north of Crested Butte.
An airport near Tow, Texas is adorned with wildflowers in the spring of 2010.
